In this work, I explore a common paradox - the contradiction between a person's perception of the external world and the internal landscape of thoughts and beliefs of the individual himself. This discrepancy creates a situation of "intellectual falsity" (term coined by Pauline Rose Clance and Suzanne Eames), where a person's external approval collides with internal doubts, giving rise to new ones. What can be considered genuine success?
There are 4 main stages of success acceptance: nonbelief, recognition, internalization and integration.
Assuming that perceptual distortion and devaluation of the outcome happens at one of the stages of success acceptance, it is reasonable to assume that success acceptance may not happen at all.
